Hey, my name is Thijs Smeele

Nice to meet you. I am a VFX artist based in the Netherlands. I am specialized in working in a virtual production environment. But most of all, I am a creative problem solver!

I am passionate about using new technologies to tell mind blowing stories. And i mean that in the broadest form of the word. My stories can be found on the big screen, but also in theater or immersive media.

Currently I am studying at the Netherlands Film Academy. Am am in my third year. I have worked on several films at several positions. Both creating stories/styles and following orders.

I have experience working on high pressure movie sets and volumes. As well as experience as VFX supervisor on student films.

My main tool is Unreal Engine. I use this program as a hub for a lot of other programs such as Houdini, Blender and Nuke.

If you want to see what I have been op to, take a look around on this website.
